BONUS STAGE!
Skill Up Skillet attended a midnight launch event for Majora’s Mask 3D on February 13th at the Bridgewater Falls GameStop in Fairfield, Ohio – just a short jaunt down the road from where I live. Friend and reader Keith B. attended this launch as well and was gracious enough to take photos from the event. There ended up being about 20 people in attendance, plus staff, and we had a great time. Photos after the jump.
Calling cards were passed out as well, advertising Skill Up Skillet on Twitter and Facebook. If you haven’t already done so, you can like and follow me on these platforms in the left side bar. If you do, that would be pretty spiffy and I’ll love you forever. =D
As they say, pics or it didn’t happen…

It traveled surprisingly well – large catering box generously provided my my dad, courtesy of Milillo’s Pizza. Yes, my parents own a pizzeria. It’s pretty cool. I should tell you about it sometime. >_>

Despite how fragile the glass is, it actually took two tries to break! The first time I raised it to my navel and it smacked loudly but held together. I guess I didn’t realize how much the icing stabilized it, haha. I had to drop it from shoulder height for it to shatter, and I still needed to break some of the larger pieces.

Overall, the event was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed their surprise treat and one or two attendees thought the sugar glass tasted a little like sour apple.

I printed out waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many of these cards so hopefully this is the first of many events to come!
Cheers,
Leisel
