Hello, Sweetie!
Do you like to rock out with your geek out? Are you passionate about gaming? Can you boil water and string words together in sentence form?
If you answered ‘Yes!’ to the above questions, you’re in luck:
Skill Up Skillet is accepting guest bloggers!
What does it take to write for me? (Un)Surprisingly, not much:
- Must be your own original content.
- Article and/or recipe must be at least 500 words in length.
- Articles will not be judged on girth because fat-shaming is bad, mmkay?
- Pictures are encouraged!
Skill Up Skillet is a geeky food blog. Accordingly, any submitted articles should have a video game/anime/geek culture focus. Tell me about the significance of food in your favorite anime. What dishes would be popular at a Game of Thrones party? Did you build a TARDIS out of sugar cubes? This is the kind of stuff I want to know about.
Have an idea but aren’t sure about the content? Email me anyway! I’ll be happy to help you work some kinks out.
(Don’t worry; I make sure to answer my emails after I’ve had coffee.)
What can you expect from a guest posting opportunity on Skill Up Skillet?
- Exposure! Your article will include a link back to your blog and have the chance to be seen by almost 1,100 SuS followers.
- Plus coverage on Facebook and Twitter. Woo!
- Really excellent karma. Seriously, how awesome are you for contributing your talent to the world?
- Also we’ll totally be BFF’s. Is that a perk? Sure, why not.
This should be interesting. I would sign up but I SUCK at games! I pretty much gave up on them all. The only one I even try any more is Gems (it’s impossible to win). I do love food tho!

Ah, but I never said you had to be any good at gaming, did I? =D

I have a good recipe for beef stew (with wine), but I don’t think it has anything to do with a game. Maybe you know of a connection? I’d be happy to do a guest post if you think it would work with your blog. I already made a post about it on my blog here http://captainjillsjourneys.com/2015/01/15/capt-jills-favorite-beef-stew/

I have a few games I like, I used to be OBSESSED with “Blades of Exile” and “Descent” but those don’t work on my computer anymore. I’ll try to contact you. 🙂

I really like this idea 😀 except I’m not that great at cooking much less gaming (it’s called, get me a gaming console first, argh). But kudos again to the idea; I know a couple of Whoovians (sp?) and other gamers who’d dig your blog fosho.

Thank you. It’s okay; we can’t all be perfect (and no, I do not fall into this ‘Perfect’ category). Feel free to spread the word. I love new readers!

Love the idea of this. Combining games and food is inspired! I’ll let my friend know as I think he would love this type of challenge.
My mind is blank on gaming food, all I can think of is what is on Eddie’s Pizza in Silent Hill 2 or how to make the best Sinner’s Sandwich from Deadly Premonition!

Sounds interesting! I’m better with foam and glue than I am with flour and eggs but am quite inspired by the gaming food angle. I’ve bookmarked this page. I’m going to give this some thought and might well come back to you if I come up with anything that could work.
